NewSwapWallet Boxes

Set your savings apart, build your crypto pie

A box is part of your SwapWallet account that you set aside for one goal. A simple box keeps money for a trip or a rainy day apart from everyday spending, with no trades and no fees. A pie splits one buy across several coins and stock tokens, in the shares you set.

  • Simple boxes are free
  • Buy a pie with Toman or USDT
  • Up to 20 boxes per account

What is a SwapWallet box?

A box is a small wallet inside your SwapWallet account, with a balance of its own. Money you move into a box comes out of your wallet balance, and while it’s there it doesn’t mix with everyday spending. It’s still yours, and it stays in your own SwapWallet account.

You can make two kinds: a simple box for saving toward a goal, and a pie for investing in several assets with one buy, from Bitcoin and Tether Gold to tokenized shares of global companies. Move a box’s money back to your wallet anytime with Withdraw or Sell.

Save USDT and Toman in a simple box, in three steps

It takes less than a minute to set up, and no trade ever happens in it.

  1. In your wallet, tap the Boxes row, then New box and Simple box. Choose a ready-made goal like Travel or Rainy day, or give it a name and picture of your own.

  2. Choose the coin and the amount, then tap Add money. The money moves from your wallet into the box at once: no trade happens and there’s no fee. Toman, USDT or any other coin you hold, and several in one box.

  3. Tap Withdraw to move any amount back to your wallet. Every add and withdrawal is listed in the box’s Activity, so you can see how your savings built up.

A crypto pie, from building the mix to rebalancing

A pie is what investing apps abroad call a Pie, except this one works with Toman or USDT and holds coins and stock tokens side by side.

  1. Under New box, the app asks whether you want to save or invest. Tap Pie.

  2. Pick one of the 6 ready-made mixes; each shows its coins, their shares and how it did over the past year, month and week. Or tap Custom mix and set up to 10 coins or stock tokens, each with a percentage share; the shares must add up to 100%.

  3. Enter an amount: at least 50,000 IRT, or its worth in USDT. The amount is split by the shares, and each coin is bought in its own trade. You see the amount and the number of trades before you confirm, and you can buy more anytime.

  4. The coloured ring shows each coin’s actual share, with the pie’s value in the middle. Below it, each coin’s target share and current share sit side by side, so you can see which has run ahead and which has fallen behind.

  5. When the pie drifts from its mix, a card on its page tells you. Review rebalance lists the trades, and nothing is traded until you confirm. What is rebalancing?

Ready-made crypto pie mixes

If you’d rather not pick the coins yourself, start with one of these mixes and change it whenever you like. Each mix’s returns are worked out from real prices on SwapWallet’s Toman markets, the way the app shows them: bought in these shares at the start of the period and held until today, in Toman.

Create a Three-way pie

Rebalancing brings a pie back to the mix you set

Coin prices don’t move together. A coin that has grown takes up a bigger share of the pie, and the pie, your portfolio, slowly drifts from its mix. A rebalance sells some of the coins that are above their share and buys the ones that are below it.

  • Never automatic: you see the list of trades first, then decide.
  • A balance score from 1 to 10 shows how close the pie is to its mix.
  • If two coins have a direct market and it works out cheaper, they trade directly; otherwise through USDT.
  • Very small drifts, under half a percent of the pie’s value, are left alone.
  • A coin you’ve removed from the mix is sold in full when you rebalance.

The Three-way pie: Bitcoin’s price has doubled and its share has grown from 20% to 33.4%. The rebalance sells the excess for USDT and uses the USDT to bring the rest back to their shares.

The money in a box is still yours

A few simple rules worth knowing before you create your first box.

  • Kept apart, in your own account

A box is part of your SwapWallet account, not a separate account. Its money is just kept apart from your wallet balance, so it doesn’t mix with everyday spending.

  • To spend it, move it back first

Money in a box can’t be swapped, transferred or sent out of SwapWallet directly; move it back to your wallet first with Withdraw or Sell. That short pause keeps your savings safe from spur-of-the-moment spending.

  • Closing, with no trades

When you close a box, everything in it goes back to your wallet as it is; a pie’s coins aren’t sold. A closed box can’t be reopened.

  • Everything is recorded

Each box’s activity, from adds and withdrawals to buys, sales and rebalances, is on its page with the details of every trade. In Transactions, choose Boxes in the Type filter to find them.

  • Up to 20 boxes

You can have up to 20 active boxes, both kinds together; closed boxes don’t count.

  • Know a pie’s risk

A pie’s value rises and falls with market prices and can be worth less than you paid when you sell. Put money in a pie that you won’t need soon.

Frequently asked questions about boxes

Didn’t find your answer? Contact SwapWallet support.

What is a SwapWallet box?

A box is part of your SwapWallet account with a balance of its own, set aside for one goal. There are two kinds: a simple box for saving (holding Toman, USDT or any coin, with no trades and no fees) and a pie for investing in several coins and stock tokens with one buy.

What’s the difference between a simple box and a pie?

Whatever you put in a simple box stays as it is: nothing is bought or sold, and adding or withdrawing is free. A pie is a mix of several coins with percentage shares: it’s bought with Toman or USDT, the amount is split across the coins, and each of its trades pays the usual swap fee.

What can I keep in a simple box?

Toman, USDT or any other coin in your wallet, and one box can hold several at once. Toman stays Toman, and coins rise and fall with the market, just as they do in your wallet.

Is there a fee to add to or withdraw from a simple box?

No. Moving money between your wallet and a simple box isn’t a trade, so it’s free. Add or withdraw any amount, whenever you like.

Ready-made mix or custom mix?

If you’d rather not pick the coins yourself, choose a ready-made mix: each one shows its coins, their shares and its past returns. To build your own, tap Custom mix: add up to 10 coins or stock tokens and give each a share in percent. The shares must add up to 100%.

How does buying a pie work, and what’s the minimum?

You pay from your wallet in Toman or USDT: at least 50,000 IRT, or its worth in USDT. The amount is split by the shares, and each coin is bought in its own trade. If a share is too small, or a coin can’t be traded at that moment, its money stays in the pie as Toman or USDT, and a rebalance spends it on your mix. If nothing can be bought, the whole amount goes back to your wallet.

What is rebalancing a pie, and does it happen automatically?

Rebalancing brings your pie back to the mix you set: coins above their share are partly sold, and coins below it are topped up. It never runs on its own: you see the list of trades first, then decide. Since every trade has a fee, small drifts aren’t worth it.

Can I change a pie’s mix later?

Yes, under Pie mix in the three-dot menu on the pie’s page. Saving a new mix doesn’t trade anything; a rebalance moves your pie to it. Coins you remove show as Not in mix and are sold in full when you rebalance.

How do I sell from a pie?

On the pie’s page, tap Sell and enter an amount, or choose Everything. The same share of every coin is sold, so the mix stays intact, and the money goes to your wallet in Toman or USDT, whichever you choose.

What fees does a pie have?

Only trades have fees. Buying, selling and rebalancing are each made up of one or more trades, and each trade pays your usual swap fee, with no discounts or cashback. Creating a pie, changing its mix and closing it are free.

How is a SwapWallet pie different from a Pie in apps like Trading 212?

The idea is the same: several assets with percentage shares in one pie, bought in those shares with one purchase and rebalanced when needed. The differences: a SwapWallet pie is bought and sold with Toman or USDT, holds coins and tokenized shares of global companies side by side, and never buys or rebalances on its own: you confirm every buy and every rebalance.

How do I use the money in a box?

Move it back to your wallet first: Withdraw from a simple box, or Sell from a pie. While it’s in a box, it’s kept apart from your wallet balance, so you can’t swap it, transfer it or send it out of SwapWallet directly.

What happens to the balance when I close a box?

Everything in it goes back to your wallet, with no trades; a pie’s coins move as they are, without being sold. If you’d rather have Toman or USDT, sell the whole pie before closing it. A closed box can’t be reopened.

How many boxes can I have?

Up to 20 boxes, of both kinds together; boxes you’ve closed don’t count. If you reach the limit, close one to create another.

Do I need identity verification to create a box?

Creating a box needs no separate verification, and you can put any asset in your wallet into it; a pie’s trades follow the same rules as an ordinary swap. Depositing Toman, and so buying a pie with Toman, takes a one-time identity check: national ID, date of birth and a bank card in your own name, in about a minute. If you start with USDT, signing up is enough.

Which versions of SwapWallet have boxes?

All of them: the web app, the Android app, the web app installed on iPhone and the Telegram mini app. In your wallet, tap the Boxes row.
